In our hospital; our anesthesiologists evaluate all patients, who are decided to undergo operation, to determine their eligibility for the operation. After patients are evaluated and tested, risk assessment is made along with the necessary consultations. Patients are informed about appropriate anesthetic method and consent is officially obtained from the patient. Excluding operations carried out under regional anesthesia and caesarean section, patients are premedicated (pre-anesthesia) before they are transferred to the operating theater. This procedure minimizes the preoperative stress and maximizes the comfort. Similarly, patients are postoperatively transferred to recovery room, where they are observed and monitored, and they are referred to inpatient ward or intensive care unit, while accompanied by a nurse, depending on the decision of the anesthesiologist.
